"Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7-8, Ignatian Holy Bible, Catholic Edition)
There is a God and He loves us. This love is never more evident in the intertwining lives of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.
Adversity is also a gift in God's dictionary. Kim and Xian received their fair share; Xian bullied in middle school took control of his weight, joining basketball and the track teams.

Kim and Xian saw their need and let go of their shy and quiet natures when it was time for them to work and perform; defying currents, if they must, as the salmon in its life-cycle does. (pls. read http://kimxianity.blogspot.com/2012/05/pink-salmon-from-alaska-and-xian-lim.html )
Both Kim and Xian grew up prayerful and are regular Church goers. Fans have sighted them in various churches, solo and/or together. They worked as if everything depended solely on their efforts and prayed as if everything depended on God. Work and prayer in tandem.
As Kim and Xian trudged the straight and narrow path, Divine Providence showed its hand. Arriving Manila from the U.S. to pursue a dream in 2008 at age 18, Xian got rerouted to try his luck in Philippine showbiz, same year.
Xian's first TV appearance was in a Kim Chiu-Gerald Anderson starrer as a photographer to Jasmine and Julian's wedding, My Girl, in the last and 75th episode aired September 2008. As fate would have it, Xian as Andy Wu played bridegroom to Jade Dimaguiba, Kim's character in My Binondo Girl, January, 2012.

My Girl - 2008; Xian as wedding photographer to Kim and Gerald's characters.
Xian's rise from wedding photographer to bridegroom was a slow and sluggish one. He had shows and appearances in spurts in contrast to Kim's instant fame from PBB. Kim was already a star when Xian came in as one of 3 leading men for Kim.

My Binondo Girl - 2012; Xian as Bridegroom to Kim.
From leading man and co-actor to Kim, Xian took another reroute; this time as Kim's suitor. Kim on a hiatus from romantic love since late 2010 after a dramatic breakup from long time first-love, Gerald Anderson, publicly declared that she still had trust issues though she was open to love again.
Xian, who protested any plans of pursuing Kim at the start, found Kim's sweet disposition irresistible. Long before plans of him being Kim's ultimate leading man in the show were made; Xian was already falling for Kim, gifting her with a life-sized teddy bear, made her listen to the only song he ever finished composing inspired by his growing feelings for Kim, Ako'y Sayo Lamang; showing her extra special attention befitting someone he truly cares for.
Their communication continued even after My Binondo Girl. Xian overwhelmed Kim with more surprises, romantic gestures true to his romantic nature--Harana in December, flowers galore in her van, a Tree of Heart and Roses; Messages on Instagram; and food gifts for the family and household help which Kim also took time to say her many thanks adding, " nakakahaba ng hair", an expression to mean, making her feel her worth as a woman. Kim also took Xian to her own personal and recreational activities with her sisters and brothers. The getting to know phase intensified.
Slowly the icy heart was melting under Xian's relentless pursuit.

As a kid, Xian found it difficult to make friends in the States. In an interview with the Dec. 2011- Jan. 2012 issue of Chalk magazine, Xian admitted that he was called names for being chubby and the bullies always took his money.

Fastforward June, 2012, Kim and Xian's friendship continue to grow. They spend almost all of their non-working hours together in dinners, movies, concert, Chiu family events, even horseback riding at Subic, etc. Meeting each other's families puts another dimension to the friendship. Kim and Xian are in a better place now compared.

Kim, catalogued the physical attributes of her ideal man to be: "matangkad, maputi, matangos ang ilong at Chinito" to her PBB housemates in 2006. Sounds like someone close by fits the bill.
Xian on the other hand, who goes beyond the physical, being a more mature 22 to Kim's 16 when she mapped out her ideal man; opts more for a good, understanding and sweet person for his ideal woman. Xian is so blessed; Kim, the woman of his dreams is a beauty inside and out.
God listens to the cries of His people. He is merciful and true. Kim and Xian are two solid examples of actors who pray, work hard and are loving and forgiving to boot. Graces are aflowing!
Kim and Xian are reaping a good harvest-- Kim, retaining her hold as ABS-CBN Primetime's Teleserye Princess, a movie with Gov. Vi, surging fandom; Xian, a bountiful recording album, a movie, a teleserye with Kim, another movie with Kim, adoring fans and multiple endorsements. God is good!
